Forbes Highest Paid Hip Hop List 2018: Jay-Z Relegates Diddy To Second Place
Jay-Z has been announced as Forbes highest paid hip hop act in 2018 with a whopping $76.5 million. He soared past last year’s No. 1, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who lands at No. 2 with $64 million.
Kendrick Lamar was impressive after his endorsement deals with Nike and American Express to sold-out dates on the TDE: Championship Tour. He came third with $58 million.
Drake took a drop and lands at fourth. He was still able to make $47 million. J. Cole made $35.5 million which placed him at 5th. Dr. Dre and Nas are tied for No. 6 with $35 million. This is the first time Nas has made the list since emerging with Illmatic in 1994.
Elsewhere on the highest paid hip hop list 2018, DJ Khaled lands at No. 11 with $27 million while Travis Scott at No. 15 with $21 million.
Others are Streaming sensation Lil Uzi Vert No. 17, $19.5m, gaming enthusiast Logic No. 19, $17m, DIY multihyphenate Russ and newly-liberated Meek Mill tied at No. 20, $15m.
