“Racks In The Middle”: “Nipsey Hussle Earns 1st Top 10 On Billboard Hot Rap Songs
Following the untimely death of Nipsey Hussle, he continues to make progress on the Billboard charts. His last single “Racks In The Middle” which features Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy, has made it to the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs. The success of the single marks Nipsey’s first song to make it this far on Billboard having jumped six positions from #15 to #9.
“Racks In The Middle” made the top 10 on Billboard Hot Rap Songs largely due to streaming numbers which increased by 44% this week. It also jumped from 14 to 7 on the Rap Streaming Songs chart. The song also hit the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently sitting at #26 having holding on at #44. It also made it to the top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs.
Hussle’s debut studio album, Victory Lap is also in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and is placed at #3 after moving 63K units that week. After Nipsey died, Victory Lap re-entered the Billboard 200 at #2. Slauson Boy, Crenshaw, The Marathon, and Mailbox Money are other projects from the slain rapper that also made it to the chart for the first time.
