News Media: Memphis Mother Arrested For Crashing Car With Baby In The Back Seat While Under The Influence
Memphis police have arrested a mother, Lasena Brandon, 30, who crashed a car with a baby in the back seat. It’s understood she was driving under the influence while behind the wheel and slipping in and out of consciousness.
Lasena Brandon was driving in the area of I-55 and South Parkway Wednesday afternoon when the accident happened. The police said they found a two-year-old girl in the wrecked vehicle and first responders deemed it necessary to administer Narcan.
Thankfully, neither mother nor daughter were injured in the wreck. Brandon was arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect, driving under the influence, violation of financial law and reckless driving.
