When we were kids and sometimes misbehaved or refused to do as we were told, our parents or some elders would use “Ojuju Calabar” to scare us into behaving well.
In case you are wondering what “Ojuju Calabar” really is, it simply means “Masquerade”. Most kids know what this is and the moment NEPA (as it was known then) strikes, the name “Ojuju Calabar” will begin to be heard either from the kids or parents trying to keep them calm before the generator is switched on.
Truthfully, it would make the ultimate Halloween costume or even movie should Nollywood decide to do something about it.
