Yvonne Jegede has every reason to be encouraged on the progress of her career as it is being appreciated by fans and filmmakers.
In fact, one of the executive producers of one of her movies in the cinema, sent the Nollywood actress a commendation SMS after being “overall impressed” with the way she has promoted the movie.

“Yesterday, I received a commendation SMS from one of the executive producers of one of my movies in cinemas. The executive producers were overall impressed with the way I have pushed the movie.
“The message to say the obvious warms the heart and it reminds me of the need to continue to nurture the mutually beneficial relationships between producers and actors.
No man is an island, actors need producers, producers need actors. We need to constantly remind ourselves that we are not doing each other favours, and we both have responsibilities to grow the industry. If a movie did well in cinemas or any platform, the producers is empowered to produce next movie that will likely feature us or our colleagues. So, let’s get behind our movies in the market and promote like our lives depend on it.
“It is however important that producers treat actors well, and with dignity. We don’t owe you, we are all debtors to the industry and the least we can do is treat each other with respect and professionalism.
“With this two cent of mine, I believe I have made my point, that the industry needs us. Less ego, more love.
