Things are really happening ooh! There’s absolutely nothing some people wouldn’t do for money. According to the distraught mother, one of the robbers took the baby and pointed a machete when he couldn’t get anything valuable to steal.

“He then held the [baby] upside down and pointed a machete toward the baby, threatened to kill the baby if we don’t give him money”.

It was at this point that the fear stricken father brought out 15 Cedis from his pocket and handed it over to the robbers to save the baby’s life.

Amina [pseudo] name noted that the armed robber then dropped the baby on the floor and moved to the next room where a 27-year-old footballer, Sadiq Adam, was killed.

It’s gathered that several others were injured and are currently in the hospital receiving treatment.

The Assemblyman has called on government to come to their aid while adding that sufficient resources be given the police to ensure lives and properties are protected in the Kasoa Walantu electoral area.
