Finally, the director that was shooting the Nollywood movie in which an actor, Ani Iyoho supposedly got burnt while shooting has come out to give the reasons behind the stunt.
According to Stanlee Ohikhuare, he pulled the stunt because he believes it would spark a remarkable change in the attitude and perception of fellow Nigerians and the world at large, towards Nollywood’s potentials. He also explained the purpose of the well executed stunt was to create film awareness and industry patronage via media engagement; utilizing the ever evolving social media platform to gain reach and peculiar attention to an entire industry.
Stanlee also challenged the Government to intervene financially in ensuring adequate funding to curb ugly occurrences like the one insinuated in the circulated video.
