Celeb News This Week: John Legend Claps Back After Trump Calls Chrissy Teigen His ‘Filthy Mouthed Wife’
John Legend, 40, has just about had enough of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, insulting him and his wife on social media. In fact, the singer had to clap back after Trump referred to Chrissy Teigen as “John Legend’s filthy mouthed wife” in a tweet on Sunday night.
Trouble started when Trump in a lengthy Twitter tirade, complained about high-profile Democrats taking credit for passing new criminal justice reform legislation that he signed into law. He tweeted:
“When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help. I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it. Obama couldn’t come close. A man named @VanJones68, and many others, were profusely grateful (at that time!). I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise.”

Shockingly, Trump singled out Legend and his wife Chrissy, who are known to criticize the President’s policies. Trump tweeted: “Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is. But I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed.”
Not long after, Chrissy respinded, “lol what a pu**y a** b**ch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.”
She then shared a picture of herself prepping a photoshoot prop board ahead of her daughter Luna’s first day at the second year of her preschool, and captioned it: “Luna, remember the night before your first day of school? When mommy was making your sign and the pu**y a** b**ch president had his 9th meltdown of the day?”
Meanwhile, John Legend responded with a plea to Trump’s wife, First Lady Melania Trump to spend more quality time with her husband.
“Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody – ANYBODY – will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you. Your country needs you, Melania.”
The singer then posted a GIF of Melania greeting a politician, which he captioned: “Ah yes, Melania is otherwise occupied. My apologies, @realDonaldTrump”. After the White House complained to Twitter.com,

Chrissy begged Black Twitter not to send the hashtag #PresidentPussyAssBitch trending on the social networking platform. She tweeted: “no guys no please do not make this trend, for it is my fight with PresidentPussyAssBitch, not yours!!!!!!”.
