Entertainment Tonight Celebrity News: Gabrielle Union Responds To Mum-Shamers – Explains Why She Has No Regrets Over Working 9 Months After Having Her Daughter
People are getting unnecessarily sensitive yet again when it comes to motherhood including how kids are raised. Gabrielle Union who was recently shamed for it, explained why she chose to return to work nine months after she welcomed her daughter, Kaavia. The new America’s Got Talent judge was in attendance at the live show’s red carpet event last night and that is when she chatted with US Weekly, explaining to the news outlet why she is back working nine months after giving birth.
‘I don’t have mom guilt, and I’ll tell you why. Being able to have the job I love and the baby I dreamed of [is great]. I am a better mom because I am able to go away and do what I love. Even if I failed miserably, I am following my dreams. … I’d be less of a mother if I did not set out every day to try to make my dreams and other people’s dreams come true. So I do not have guilt,’ she told the site.
Union also insisted that her work ethic is actually supported by many other parents.
‘We all grew up like, ‘Go, Mom, go. Go, Mom, go!’ Not like, ‘Why are you missing things?’ but, ‘Way to go, I’m glad you’re living your dream.’ We are all kind of rooting for each other.’
